PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Jurors are still considering the 52-count federal racketeering case against alleged leaders of the Philadelphia mob.
The Philadelphia Inquirer (http://bit.ly/Y68JlP ) says the jury asked to listen to more secretly recorded tapes of the defendants Monday but went home without reaching a verdict.
Jurors are scheduled to resume deliberations Tuesday.
The defendants include 73-year-old reputed boss Joseph “Uncle Joe” Ligambi and alleged underboss Joseph “Moussie” Massimino
Jurors last week reviewed FBI wiretaps involving video poker machines and high-interest street loans allegedly controlled by the mob
Defense attorneys have called the charges exaggerated.
